I work with women 18 and over, individually and as couples: anxiety and stress, the adjustment into motherhood, grief, difficulty in a relationship, separation, and change that arrives uninvited. No referral is needed, and you book the time yourself rather than waiting for someone to call you back.

Hi, I'm Tilly.
For fifteen years I worked as a barista, making coffees and watching people come together over them — to talk, to laugh, to cry, and sometimes just to sit with someone who made the day feel lighter. Grounded Counselling Co. came out of that, and out of my own experience of needing someone to talk to.
I work with women 18 and over, online, through the things that are hard to say out loud the first time. You do not need to arrive with it all worked out.

Questions about counselling in Baldivis
Is there a counsellor in Baldivis?
Baldivis is largely residential, so counselling has usually meant travelling to Rockingham or further. Grounded Counselling Co. is an alternative to that rather than a local practice: every session is online, so there is nothing to drive to.
Do you offer face-to-face counselling in Baldivis?
No. Every session is held online by secure video. I am based in Halls Head and work remotely only — there is no consulting room in Baldivis and no home visits.
I moved here and do not really know anyone. Is that a reason to see a counsellor?
It is a perfectly good one. Loneliness after a move is one of those things that sounds too small to take anywhere, right up until it is not, and it is a reasonable thing to bring to a first session.
I have small children at home. How do I manage a session?
School or daycare hours tend to work best, or once someone else is home. It does not have to be perfectly quiet — but an hour where you are not being interrupted will get you considerably further.
Is online counselling suitable for postnatal anxiety or low mood?
It can be a good fit, particularly when leaving the house is part of what feels hard. If at any point something needs more than counselling, I will say so and help you work out where to go next.
What if I have never done anything like this before?
That is an ordinary place to start. You do not need to arrive with it worked out, or know how to explain it — working out what is actually going on is what the first hour is for.
How much does a session cost?
Individual sessions are $120 and couples sessions $140, each 60 minutes. The first ten clients pay the founding rate of $100.
